“Recording For the Beauty of the Earth was a great experience. The collaboration in the sound booth with David Ohanian as our musical consultant and Grammy award-winner Brad Michel as our sound engineer, was fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for a better team. We recorded at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts, for the great acoustic it provides for all the voices on the recording: brass, organ, and percussion.

It took three 8-hour days and the thematic material we were working with inspired us through the tiredness that always sets in! Exploring and inhabiting music that expresses all these incredible views of creation – from space looking down to earth, to the tiniest bud growing into a flower getting its life from the sun – you couldn’t but help but be lifted up by it. I’m a trumpet player as well, so I am especially keen for the colors and textures that the brass instruments bring to this repertoire. It’s great music that everyone will love.”
