How to Search Analog Sourced DSD Downloads Aug 21 by Brian Moura in Brian's Corner

Summer is coming to a close, people are coming back from vacation and things are ramping up for the Fall season ahead. That’s also happening here at Native DSD Music. There are two new things we’ve launched that are worth highlighting in this week’s newsletter.

Buy a High Bit Rate DSD Download – Get the Lower DSD Bit Rate Files for Free!

Here’s a new program that says thanks to listeners who have purchased – or plan to purchase – Stereo and Multichannel DSD 128 and DSD 256 downloads at the Native DSD Music web store. You can now download the lower DSD bit rate versions of albums as well as the ones you originally purchased in DSD 128 and DSD 256 during Step 5 (Downloads) in the store for FREE!

In the example shown below, a purchase was made of the excellent DSD 256 recording of Bach: Cello Suites, Vol. 1 by Joachim Eijlander on NAVIS Classics. Since it was a COMBI deal purchase of the Stereo and Multichannel DSD 256 editions of the album, both of those versions show as downloads. Look closer and you will notice that the DSD 64 and DSD 128 editions of the album are also now available for download, in Stereo and Multichannel DSD, at no extra cost! Perfect for those times when you are listening on a mobile player or DAC that does not support the high DSD bit rate files you originally purchased.

Best of all, this new feature from Native DSD Music is available on all of your DSD music purchases from us – past and present. To pick up the lower bit rate DSD files from your earlier purchases, simply sign in, click on the listener symbol (top menu, far right hand of the web site) to access your user profile, click on Order Number to find the album, click on Download and away you go. (There’s only one exception, the new feature only works with full album purchases, not individual tracks).

A New Search Option: How to Search Analog Sourced DSD Downloads

As the Native DSD Music catalog expands (it’s now over 650 DSD Downloads!) the need for quickly finding what you are looking for grows as well. With that in mind, you’ve probably noticed that we are continuing to enhance and expand the Native DSD Music search engine.

The newest search option lets you check a box to quickly find the DSD Downloads on the site that have been created from Analog Sources. This includes over 45 albums to date from a variety of our record label partners including 2xHD, 2xHD-Naxos, High Definition Tape Transfers (HDTT), Wilson Audio and Yarlung Records.

To see the list, simply use the Search button at the top of the Native DSD web site home page or the Browse All Albums button on the home page. Next, when the search page appears, click the “Analog Sourced” box (see example below) and you will have a list of the Analog Sourced DSD downloads available today from Native DSD. Very handy.

And don’t forget that there are similar search options to show:

  • Stereo, Multichannel and Binaural DSD downloads
  • DSD 64, DSD 128, DSD 256 and DXD downloads
  • DSD Exclusively, Never on SACD downloads

Native DSD invites you to use all of these Search enhancements, along with the original searches by Artist, Music Genre, Composer and Record Label to quickly find just the right DSD or DXD music you are looking for.

Enjoy the Native DSD Music – and a weekend of fine listening ahead,
