Listening to DSD at home with: Ger-Jan Hofman Jun 03 by Jonas Sacks in Listening to DSD at home

Native DSD goes into the listening field to understand how different people listen, differently. This is the first portrait in a series of 5: Ger-Jan Hofman. The idea came after I visited a friend that really loves playing music at home and actually takes the time to sit down and do this properly. His profound happiness during listening made me think there must be more folks out there that won’t mind sharing their profound happy listening experiences. Below is the first portrait I made. We filmed this on an early spring day with my Canon c100. The second portrait is also online on the Native DSD Youtube channel.

I hope you liked the video! What I really liked is the way he is controlling the playback, it is pretty simple. His main computer is the laptop anyway, and using remote desktop to control Audirvana on the Mac Mini connected to his USB DAC makes it a quick jump to influence what DSD music is sounding.
