The Concertgebouworkest mourns the death of its beloved conductor emeritus, Mariss Jansons, 1 december 2019. The music world has lost not only a great conductor, but a warm and humble man.

For eleven years (2004-2015), Mariss Jansons was our Chief Conductor. Together we made several recordings, including three DSD recordings and one DXD recording. To give you a chance to get to know the art of Mariss Jansons with the Concertgebouworkest, we give you one track from our final recording together to download and listen to.

This recording of Mahler’s Seventh Symphony was released last year, in DXD, DSD 64, DSD 128 and DSD 256 at NativeDSD. The Seventh is coincidentally the final work in which Gustav Mahler himself led the Concertgebouworkest.
