Luca Giannerini and Igor Fiorini have founded a record company, VDM Records in Rome, that brings the listener recordings made without any editing (which is very rare to find) that allows you to appreciate the quality and skill of the performers, who fearlessly lay bare their skills. We were the first in the world to use DXD recording technology in the live concerts of Gino Paoli and Danilo Rea. The music from that concert received an enthusiastic response from listeners who could appreciate sound quality never heard before.
Live in Capalbio 3.0 is the brainchild of Luca and Igor in collaboration with VDM. The new album features performances by Musica da Ripostiglio (The “Music Closet”) from their live concert in Borgo Carige Capalbio on November 14, 2015. The uniqueness of this project is that Musica da Ripostiglio recorded their concert live without any editing and overdubs. For the album, they did not rule out any song in the concert lineup, demonstrating their professionalism and uncommon musical ability.
Live in Capalbio 3.0 was recorded in DXD using the Merging Technologies Horus Analog to Digital Converter. It was mixed using the Merging Technologies Pyramix software. The system used to record and mix these live concerts is DXD at 352.8 Khz 32-bit sound (at a sampling rate 8 times higher than the standard 16 bit, 44.1 kHz CD standard). The system is managed by a VDM Design “System 24” that includes the use of DPA microphones.
We invite you to listen to this unique, genuine live recording that is now available from VDM Records and NativeDSD Music.
